Ich weiss nicht, ich weiss nicht. Der Ansatz mehr Platz auf dem Screen zu haben, indem man die Bedienelemente zum Teil nach links verlagert ist sicherlich sinnvoll. Und es funktioniert auch - bisher nur 1x abgestürzt (bei 2x benutzen). Aber es ist gewöhnungsbedürftig!

WTF is it with this nouveau stuff? Ubuntu 10.10 introduced a new version of X, which has an ABI change which in turn makes the nvidia drivers fail. This is easily fixed, but I thought I'd give nouveau a try anyway:

The maverick update at work didn't go about as smoothly as at home. This was mostly due to the nvidia driver I'm using to get a dual-head screen. I had to specify:

Yesterday I upgrade to Mavick Meerkat. So far, everything seems to work (WLAN, suspend&resume). There is a minor error involving the power manager icon, but in general it's looking good!
